

He was the husband of Nancy Ann Frandsen. They shared 59 years of marriage together.
Born in Sioux City, IA. He was the son of John and Rose Frandsen. He graduated from Danbury High School in Danbury, IA. He was hired by Citizens Fidelity and retired at the age of 53 as a Vice-President at PNC Bank.
Walt, along with his wife, family and friends, enjoyed travelling locally and internationally. They had the pleasure of sailing over 60 cruises. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, arrowhead hunting, playing cards, and fixing things.
Besides his parents and in-laws (Charles and Roberta Schaefer), he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo Frandsen (Rachel) and Bill Frandsen, his sister, Irene Van Houton (Bud), his brother-in-laws Bob Schaefer, Tom Fisher and David Schaefer. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughters Christina King (Rob) and Janet Denny (JD), grandchildren, Jacob Lush, Anna Fernandez (David), and Ben Lush (Abby), great-grandchildren, Abby and Taylor Lush. As well as, his sister, Mary Schultz (John), and in-laws, Karen Frandsen, Sharon Fisher, Doris and Charlie Schneider, Gary and Susie Schaefer, and Sandy Schaefer along with numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
A visitation for Walt will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 3PM to 8PM. A funeral service will be the following day on Friday, February 7, 2025 in the funeral home chapel at 12PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Walt can be made to Hosparus Health or St. Jude.
