67 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Louisville on January 12, 1943 to the late Edward E. Harper and Elzadie Foster Harper. He was retired from the Louisville Metro Police Department as a detective and was a United States Air force Veteran. He was a member of the Melbourne Heights Baptist Church and a member of the fraternal order of Police.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Lynn Hayes Harper and a sister, Rita Bowman.
He is survived by sister, Susan Crider-Mike, three nieces and one nephew.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be conducted Thursday March 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with inurnment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the funeral home.
