Wendell Lane Kessler, 85, of Louisville, passed away September 10, 2019. He was a retired master sergeant and meteorologist for the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the 6th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had also worked for over ten years at the Peddlers Mall, where he enjoyed all of his many friends there.
Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Wilmyth Kessler; his wife, Rita Kessler; and his son, Forrest Kessler. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Helen Zahn-Kessler; sisters-in-law, Marie Thompson(George), Jean Whitmer, and Kathy Keeton(David); brother-in-law, James Zahn(Susan); mother-in-law, Mary C. Zahn; and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Kessler.
Funeral service will be 10am Friday, September 13, 2019 at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm-8pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Wendell’s memory can be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
