He was a retired barber with the Hikes Lane Barber Shop and was a Navy veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Doris Stucker Allen; three sons, Scotty Allen, Robbie McCreary (Jody) and John C. Allen; a daughter, Lynn Allen; two sisters, Patricia Stein and Susan Murphy; two brothers, Mike and Steven Allen; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Allen will be on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Services with cremation following. Visiting will be on Thursday from 1 p.m. until time of service.
