

William Dennis “Denny” Landrum, 75, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at University Hospital, after a battle with cancer. He was born on August 30, 1939, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Louisville. Denny was a figure on the Louisville restaurant and nightclub scene since the 1960s, having been the owner and operator of Sgt. Pepper’s, the iconic Toy Tiger, and Oscar Brown’s, among other venues. He was a life-long lover of all things Kentucky, especially University of Kentucky sports and Kentucky thoroughbred racing, having owned racehorses for many years. He was also a life-long member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Community.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Landrum, and his mother, Mildred Keehner Landrum Riehm. He leaves behind a wife, Linda Fraley Landrum; son, William “Trey” Landrum; daughter, Denise Landrum-Geyer (David Nelson Geyer); daughter, Jennifer Allivand; grandchildren, Courtney Landrum, David Landrum Geyer, Kayla Allivand, Cameron Allivand, and Carson Allivand; sister, Patricia Landrum Heming (Richard Heming); and niece, Kendall Heming Wasz. He also leaves behind beloved pets, Newfoundland dogs Bear and Fiona, and a Shih Tzu, Marbles.
Visitation will be Friday, November 14, from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 747 Harrison Ave at 10am on Saturday, November 15, followed by a graveside ceremony at Resthaven Memorial Park.
