FORD, WILLIAM R., "BILL," 58, passed away Sunday September 15, 2013 at Norton Pavilion Hosparus after a long battle with cancer with his loving family by his side. Bill was a horse trainer for 35 years, loved fishing and an avid UK fan. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William F. and Wanda Gilkey Ford. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Lynda Raymond; a daughter Amy Foree (Josh); a son, Dakota Ford; sisters, Janet Kull (Doug), Joyce Ford and Theresa Ford; brother, Mike Ford; grandchildren, William Jacob Ford and Rylee Foree; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen. A memorial service for Bill will be held noon Thursday in Christ Chapel at Churchill Downs (entrance at gate 5). Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Chapel. The family is under the care of Arch L. Heady & Son Southern Chapel.
