Gassman, William J. “Bill”, 77, passed away November 13, 2017. Bill was the first Leap Year Baby of Louisville born February 29, 1940. He proudly served his country in the USAF and was quick to say he served 21 years, 3 months, 16 days. He then retired from AT&T.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Gassman, sister Jeanne Bensing, brothers-in-law Larry Reynolds, Joe Ford and Chris Ford and nephew Justin Ford. Bill is survived by his loving wife Linda Ford Gassman, children Stephanie Logsdon (Tony), Lisa Saunders (Terry) and Billy Gassman (Nicole), sister Dottie Reynolds, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. And his two puppies Dewey and Daisy.
Visitation will be held Thursday November 16, 2017, from 10am-2pm at Arch L Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road. A service will follow visitation at 2pm in the chapel.
