David was a Navy veteran who proudly served on the USS Providence. He was a lifetime member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and an original member of the Kentucky Crafted Program. He was also a lifetime member, past President, and Board Member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen. David had the distinction of being the longest tenured exhibitor, after 48 years, at the St. James Art Fair.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 44 years, Donna Broadway Glenn; children, Amy Honnerlaw (Shawn), William David Glenn III (Paula); sister, Ann Hayes; grandchildren, Patrick, Henry, David IV, Colin, Beverly, Brandon, Luke, Kaliyah; step-grandson, Dylan; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family would like to thank all of his caregivers at the Sam Swope Care Center for their loving support.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, from 10-11 AM at the Arch L. Heady at Westport Village Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Rd. A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held following the visitation at 11 AM.
