William Daniel “Dan” Paragon, age 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on March 11, 2026.
Dan was born in Louisville to the late William E. “Bill” Paragon and Floy R. (Ray) Paragon. An accomplished student, he graduated from the University of Louisville’s Speed Scientific School, earning his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1988 with the highest honors.
Dan enjoyed a successful career as a systems engineer and telecom analyst, working for several organizations throughout the country. His career included positions with the Department of Energy at the Savannah River Nuclear Plant in Augusta, Georgia; Philip Morris in Richmond, Virginia; and he concluded his professional career in Louisville at Humana.
Dan is survived by his children, Kayla Paragon and William B. “Ben” Paragon. He is also survived by his brother, David Paragon; sister-in-law, Nina Paragon; and their children, Hannah, Chandler, Hailey, Dawson, Connor, Josh, and Brantley.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, with Dan’s funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home – Okolona, located at 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Dan chose cremation.
