

He was retired from the Security Department at LG&E. William was a Navy Veteran of WWII, member of the VFW and Amvets Post 9, and a former member of Amvets Post 61.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Matthew Richmond, and a brother Matthew Richmond.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Richmond; three sons, Richard, Steven (Alice), and Joseph (Nancy); two sisters, Mae Jean Joseph, and Milly Briggs; grandchildren, Ricky Richmond, Jonathan Richmond, Jeremy Richmond, Kelly Richmond, Stephanie Richmond, Clinton Richmond and, Keri Richmond; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Autumn and, Elijah.
Services will be conducted at 6:00pm on Tuesday in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady Russman and Sons, 1201 E. Oak Street. Visitation will be from 1:00pm - 6:00pm, also on Tuesday. Inurnment services will be at 1:00pm on Thursday in the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel with Military Honors.
