As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. It is still a complete shock to us. I too have felt Uncle Howard right next to me over and over again since the news. We have just received another blessing from above he is added to all of our angels above and hanging out with Dad.

The Officers and Staff at First State Bank, Irvington would like to extend our sincere sympathy to all of you.  Many of us knew Howard and in our connections with the Fed found him to always be a great friend to work with.  We missed him when he retired.

I had the privledge of working with Howard at the Federal Reserve Bank.  He was a wonderful person to work for, in that he was not only true to his employer, but he was fair and true to his employees.  He truly kept the best interest of his employees to heart when making decisions that affected them.  That coupled with the fact that he was always so pleasant to be around and a truly nice, generous, and entertaining guy, made all of our jobs at the Fed more enjoyable.  Howard will be missed by many friends.  Our prayers go out to Margaret and his family.

margaret,                                    Lindy and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family during this very difficult time. It is very hard to express in words how we feel , but I'm going to try. First, I want you to know that I have always admired Howard, and will continue to do so. While his physical person can no longer be with us, his spirit and soul continues on. That spirit and soul are very special, because his very special. I was glad the description in the paper said that he passed on Sunday, and not died. I believe that is exactly what took place. His life did not end it just changed. I know he loves you very much  because I could see it in his eyes when he talked about you at work. Howard has a good soul and is a kind person. I know he was your rock when he was physically here, but he can also be your rock by being with you in his spirit and soul. It might seem crazy but I think you can still talk to him. ( hope I don;t sound to far out ). Anyway, I have had 5 friends pass thru this life in the last 15 months, and I have seen how difficult it can be. But thru faith, family ands friends , and by taking it one day at a time you will get thru it. I know you are in the prayers of a lot of people, and prayers can really help. I really don't know what else to say right now. hope I have not rambled too much. Howard always said my letters were too long and wordy, but sometimes wordy is a good thing.                     we'll both be praying for you and your family, you will make it thru this because you are a spacial person. I am very sad to hear about Howard. I can't believe how fast the years go by. I have lots of great memories of Howard and your family. The thing I will remember most about Howard is his sense of humor. He will be missed. I hope God gives you strength through this difficult time.

Ruthie, and your family I am deeply sorry to hear about Howard, he was my go to person at the bank. I depended on him when times got ruff, he was so good at taking care of everyone. Howard, always knew exactly how to take care of sensitive situations.  I missed working with him when he retired and now all that knew him will miss him. I am so very sorry for your loss. May god's healing grace sooth and comfort you in the days and weeks ahead.  While we grieve the loss of someone so cherished, those in heaven are rejoicing in their meeting.  We can never imagine the glories of heaven that Uncle Howard is seeing today for God’s love is boundless and everlasting.

I have fond memories of spending time with all of you when I was a child.  Since Dad's passing in January, I feqeuntly think back to my childhood and your family often comes to mind.  Please let me know if there is anything Linda and I can do. You are in our prayers.
