She and her husband Fred were the owners of the old Rockhold Florist and Gift shop in Lyndon from 1972-1988. After their retirement they closed the shop, bought a camper and began a dream life of traveling the U.S. for leisure. After touring the states their traveling continued throughout Europe in a Volkswagon bus. Their friends had an ongoing joke to their children “ Do you know where your parents are”.
Yvonne was also a member of DAR ( Daughters of the American Revolution).
She is survived by her loving children Dr. Fred Rockhold III, Cynthia Tucker and James Rockhold; she is also survived by a sister Elizabeth Mariles and her brother James Murphy.
A memorial Celebration of Life service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Arch L. Heady Westport Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road with visitation starting at 3:00 p.m.
