

Zena Mae Sink Shine, 93, passed away peacefully Friday May 1, 2026, 1 day shy of her 94th birthday, May 2, 1932. She was a Christian by faith and a member of Broadway Church of the Nazarene and Grace Community Church of the Nazarene, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for many years.
She married the love of her life Herschel Shine June 10, 1950. Together they created a loving Christian home for her surviving 2 daughters, Karen Gibson (Terry) and Janet Riddle (John). Besides being the best homemaker, she was an excellent seamstress, winning a blue ribbon at the Kentucky State Fair. She also enjoyed cross stitch crafts, producing works proudly displayed in the family homes. Herschel preceded her in death May 16, 2012. In addition to her daughters she is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation for Zena will be Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Evergreen Funeral Home from 10:30am until 12:30pm. The funeral service will begin at 12:30pm. A private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Louisville Ky 40220. Her family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and entire staff of Audubon Hospital for their kind, compassionate care and also for all the thoughts and prayers from her home community at Creekside on Bardstown Rd.
