Doris Geraldine Rogers

The family of Doris Geraldine Rogers, 88, of Loveland, CO wishes to announce that she passed peacefully at McKee Medical Center, Loveland, CO, on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Born in Williston, ND, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Cecilia Tandsater. Doris graduated from Argusville High School (ND) and obtained her Associates of Arts degree from Fergus Falls (MN) Community College. She was married to the late Charles Eugene Rogers.

Doris was dedicated to her family and her church but found time to also work outside of the house. Her working career highlight was as the Assistant to the Provost at Fergus Falls Community College.

Doris loved being with her family, and especially playing games. Trivia, cards, Scrabble, and anything where planning and cunning play could occur.

Doris was also involved in several organizations. She volunteered for over twenty years at the McKee Thrift Store. She was also a member of the Friendship Force and Council of Catholic Women.

Doris traveled extensively. She was proud to have visited all fifty States, as well as over twenty countries.

Doris was the mother of seven children. David (Martha) Rogers of Middlefield, CT, LaRae (Dave) Dodson of Thorton, Carla (Bob) Lambrecht of Chesterfield, MO, Greg Rogers (killed in a car accident in 1969), Doug (Tricia) Rogers of West Bend, WI, Sandy (Demetrice) Drowns of Snelville, GA and DeAnn (Daren) Lubiani of Loveland. She was proud that all of her children graduated from college and raised loving families.

Doris also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Loveland, CO on April 4, 2024, at 10:00am with lunch to follow. A viewing and memorial service will also be held at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, MN at 10:00am on April 20, 2024. Burial will follow at St. Otto’s Cemetery in Fergus Falls. A lunch will be provided for friends and family after the burial.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
