A beloved father of three, grandfather of two, brother and close friend to many, Edward Joseph Rapp died in the early hours of the morning at home on Thursday, June 6 at the age of 69. As a longtime sufferer of complications related to diabetes, Ed was a committed and impassioned advocate for awareness of heart and kidney failure. He started a grassroots campaign to promote kidney donation, and was an active mentor of others suffering from the same disease.
Ed wasn't aware of strangers, only friends he hadn't met yet. He'll always be remembered for his marathon cooking and baking sessions for friends and family, which would sometimes produce, among other things, eight different pies. Ed will be memorialized on Monday June 10th at the Unitarian Universalist church in Loveland, CO among his loved ones and closest friends.
