Jacques (Jake) Anthony Rodriguez, 52, of Loveland, Colorado passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. He passed at home, in the arms of his son, surrounded by his family. Jake was born February 17, 1973, in Loveland, the oldest son to Juan and Gloria Rodriguez.
Jake graduated from Thompson Valley High School in 1992. Soon after obtaining his HVAC certification, Jake realized he did not want to proceed in construction and instead began his career at Woodward Governor. His career at Woodward spanned 25 years, including advancement to the role of Mechanical Assembler, where he excelled at training coworkers. Jake's dedication to his work was only surpassed by his admiration for those he worked with.
Jake enjoyed working out, watching the Colorado Avalanche and the Washington Commanders - especially Sean Taylor, with his hard hits (back when football had hard hits). He loved the Chicago Bulls, and Michael Jordan was his all-time favorite player. Jake enjoyed fishing - well the idea of fishing; he typically went for the views not the fish. Jake could always be counted on to be prepared for the Apocalypse or to keep a watchful eye on his surroundings for the elusive Bigfoot. Jake was a man of faith. His love for the Lord was unwavering. He truly put God first and believed, "God is good, all the time; all the time, God is good."
Jake was a giver by nature, always putting others' needs in front of his own no matter what he was going through. He enjoyed making people laugh and smile. Jake was known for his vibrant sense of humor - Always quoting lines from his favorite movies and telling jokes and stories that would make you laugh until you cried.
Jake was most proud of being a dad. Jake and Jake were not only father and son, but best friends and workout partners who always had each other's backs. Often referred to as 'The Jakes', it was rare to see one without the other.
Jake is survived by his son, Jacques Ezekiel Rodriguez; parents, Juan and Gloria (Martinez) Rodriguez; siblings, Monique Rodriguez, Cheree Rodriguez Carlson (Daniel Carlson), Jordan Rodriguez (Tracy), Austin Woods, Aquilla Page and Eunicea Whitfield; nieces and nephews, Kiana Hernandez, Brianne Rodriguez, Kam Carlson, Mason Carlson, Isaiah Garcia, Lasaiah Garcia, Jaya Rodriguez, Ariana Rodriguez, Sophie Torres, Storm Rodriguez, Jaxon Trujillo; and extensive extended family.
Jake was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jose Rodriguez, Simona (Saldaña) Rodriguez; his maternal grandmother Ernestine Isais; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His son wanted to specifically acknowledge his Tia Susie, who had an especially unique involvement and impact on Jake's life.
Jake was a friend and brother to many. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his Uncle "Bro" Rob, who is his co-worker, and partner in crime. They were always up to shenanigans together.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Victory Christian Fellowship (VCF) Church at 6101 West 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, on June 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to wear red, Jake's favorite color.
