Joan was born June 17, 1945, in Knoxville, TN, to Ted and Dorothy Floyd. Her family later moved to Oshkosh, WI, where she attended school. Her brother introduced her to Ted Morrison, the love of her life; they married in June 1964. As a career Naval Officer, Ted was stationed on both coasts, leading Joan to work as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper in various locations.
Joan enjoyed creating handcrafted greeting cards for loved ones and shared her creativity by teaching card-making classes. She loved dogs and was always willing to puppy-sit. She cherished the Christmas season and bright red cardinals. Most of all, she loved her family and took immense pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her daughter Linda Harding (Tony), son Ted Morrison Jr., and grandchildren Amber Morrison, Terryan Morrison (Kandice), Rena Grin (Devin), Beth Harding (Rudy Schwartz), Nick Harding, and Brady Harding (Anna Grace Thompson). She leaves behind great-grandchildren Maliki and Sophie, and her brother-in-law, Larry Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Morrison (Jan 4, 2026), and brothers Bill Floyd (Gladys) and Bob Floyd (Barb).
A graveside service celebration of life for Joan and Ted Morrison will be held at the Loveland Burial Park in Loveland, Colorado on Friday March 27, 2026, beginning at 9:00 am.
