In remembrance of our exuberant daughter and sister, Megan Elissa Breuklander, 38, of Evansville, Indiana, who peacefully passed away at her brother’s home in Colorado on Saturday, June 29, 2024. She is now home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born December 2, 1985, in Austin, Texas, Megan knew not a stranger. With the unique vocals the Lord gifted her, anyone would recognize her voice three aisles over at any venue. She always spoke to every person she met. She was a curious soul with an endearing smile and a great sense of humor. She loved her pet dogs and participating in Special Olympics: softball, basketball, bowling and bocce. She loved Indiana University basketball, the T.V. series Law and Order Special Units, card games, being on her phone, music, purses, shopping and the color red.
Megan collected plastic bottle caps for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley. Megan loved talking world politics with her Grandma Gerd and especially loved Christmas with our family traditions.
Megan was a graduate of Boonville High School class of 2006. She was an exemplary employee of Arc Industries since 2009.
Megan is survived by her mother, Carol Helmen Breuklander; father, Dutch Breuklander; brother, Neill Helmen Breuklander (Danielle); and niece, Ada. Also her beloved pet dog, Oskar. Megan is preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Anna Jean Breuklander and Gloer and Gerd Helmen. Along with beloved pet dogs, Biscuit, Bandit and Scout.
