Michael R. Leinen passed away on January 25, 2026 peacefully in Loveland, CO. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna, parents Ramona Slaven and Michael T. , sister Janet, brother Richard, brother Edward, brother Thomas. He is survived by children Michelle Leinen, Patrick (Patty) Leinen, and Julie (David) Holloway; five grandchildren Alexander and William Prewitt, Jackson and Anna Grace Holloway and Ty Leinen.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 7:30 pm Friday, March 6, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Parish 502 4th Street Portsmouth, IA 51565. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Mary's Catholic Parish with a luncheon immediately following at the Portsmouth Legion 201 2nd Ave Main Street Portsmouth, IA 51565.
