Phillip M. Lawson was born in Gardena, California in 1961 and enlisted in the US army at 20. After completing basic training in Missouri, he joined the army national guard. In 1992, he met his future wife Raquel while living in Long Beach, California. They later moved to San Diego after Phil went active duty. They married in Las Vegas in 1995 and had two children, Danielle and James. After retiring from the Army in 2005, Phil worked as a heavy equipment operator in Henderson, Nevada. In 2016, they moved to Loveland, Colorado where Phil enjoyed working on his car and fishing. He passed away on February 9th, leaving a void in their lives.
