Richard Elsworth Dutton

Richard Elsworth Dutton passed away June 20, 2019. He was born March 2, 1938 in New Helena, Neb. to the late Renold E. and Sarah L. Dutton. He was baptized at seven years old in the river at Milburn, Neb. He graduated in 1955 from Anselmo High School and then moved to Colorado in 1956 with his wife, Sharon Davolt. To this union three children were born, Bradley, Denise, and James. They resided in Littleton and Ft. Collins until they divorced. Richard married Marilyn Haumont in 1979, they lived in Loveland until his death. He enjoyed his family very much; Marilyn and Richard had a happy marriage of 39 years.

Richard worked for 4 years at the Denver Post Office, 15 years in insurance being the top district manager of the company in 1971, and then as a general sales and finance manager in the RV business until his retirement. Richard loved golf, working in the yard, and working on cars.

He is survived by his wife; son, Brad Dutton (Lori) of Alliance, Neb.; daughter, Denise Dutton of Norfolk, Neb.; James Dutton (Marla) of Heartwell, Neb.; grandchildren, Jennifer Robbins (Dennis) of Seward, Neb., Jesse Dutton (Charity) of Alliance, Neb., Janelle Huss (Kyle) of Hemingford, Neb., Sarah Amsberry of Lincoln, Neb.; Jeremy Fales, Amber Vetter, Elijah Mitchell all of Norfolk Neb., Nicholas Dutton (Amy) of Minden, Neb., Caleb Dutton of Omaha, Neb., Alexandra Dutton of Holdrege, Neb.; sister, Carol McAlhaney of Blair, Neb.; and brother-in-law, Howard Raymond of Madison, Alabama.

Also surviving are 15 great-grandchildren that blessed Richard’s life; Brynlie, Nolan, Jaelyn, Jaxtyn, Avery, Anthony, Vienna, Gabriel, Paris, Zaine, J’Nae, Sam, Marlie, Stephanie, and Taveya; stepchildren, Terri Jones (Neil) of Cortez, Mikki Pulse (Rodger) of Chipley, Fla. and Jerry Murray (Carmen) of Wray; step grandchildren, Ty Jones (Brittany) of Grand Junction, Jenna Pulse of Chipley, Fla., Jessica and Bailey Murray of Mont.; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Dutton; sister, Marlene Raymond; and sister-in-law, Sharron Dutton.
