He was preceded in death by his mother Florence Marie Cole, Son Michael Cole and stepchildren Penny Cole and Kirby Mishler.
Bob was born on June 15th, 1935 in Penasco, New Mexico. As a very young man Bob was forced to set out on his own and he learned the importance of hard work. He eventually found himself in Denver, CO and became an apprentice butcher for the Local 7 Meat Cutters Association. He then became a professional butcher and manager at Safeway Inc. in Denver, CO. He was a strong stoic patriarch of his family, great friend, a man who would give the shirt off his back and never let anyone leave his home without being fed. He was a great father who always took care of his children and did his best to help teach and guide them by his actions. He was a selfless man who never cared much about himself, he always focused on the others around him and their comfort.
After 37 dedicated years working for Safeway Inc., Bob was forced into medical retirement. This is when he found his life’s true purpose and passion, as a tremendous loving grandfather. His interests included fishing, camping, golfing and most of all watching his grandkids sporting events. His little blue truck was always a fixture at the local sporting event.
No memorial service or funeral is planned at this time due to restrictions. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to www.parkinson.org/ways-to-give.
