Tim Seaboch was born July 29, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa to Fred and Lillian Seaboch, joining an older sister, Bonnie. The family moved to San Diego when his father secured a job at University of California San Diego. As a child he was actively involved in Scouting working his way to Eagle Scout. He attended Lincoln High School and joined the Navy Reserve his Senior yr in 1958. He served two years active duty and four years inactive duty. He was a radioman on the USS Wiseman DE667 and his duties took him to Hawaii, Japan, the Philippines, South China Sea and Viet Nam. He was honorably discharged in 1968. During his time in the Navy he married his high school sweetheart Sandra and their first son Troy was born in 1963, with Todd joining the family in 1967. The family moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 1976 when Tim started T & G Fiberglass. After selling the fiberglass company he began Condor Construction doing remodels.
When Tim and Sandra parted ways he and Todd moved to Vail, CO, where his life became wondrous when he met LIZ at a parent teacher conference when Todd was caught cheating on a test in Liz’s English class. This is when Todd learned the lesson that some consequences last a LIFETIME when Tim and Liz married on July 27, 1985. Tim was devoted and committed to Liz. Early in their relationship Tim suggested that they go camping despite Liz vehemently asserting that she “did not camp”. On the way home Liz told Tim that if he wanted to continue seeing her he would never suggest camping again. Several years into their marriage some friends invited them camping and Tim held up his hands and stated “Liz doesn’t camp…..and I don’t want to be divorced". Tim and Liz made many fun and lasting memories together. They travelled to Alaska, Ireland, Scotland, England and Italy with Jack and Clara. The cruised with Liz’s cousin’s to the Panama Canal, Italy and Greece. They hiked in Canada with their friends Gail and Jeff where they discovered “myrtles”……chocolate nut candies the size of a salad plate. Tim consistently and lovingly treated Liz like the Queen she believed she was.
During an Easter visit with Liz’s family they toured the new home Jack and Clara were building and Jack lamented that the carpenters were telling him that the curved banister he had designed could NOT be built. On the way home Tim told Liz that “he” could build the banister. This quickly solidified their decision to move to Fort Collins at the end of the school year so that Liz could attend graduate school. Tim left Vail two weeks later to begin the banister that many of you have admired in Jack and Clara’s home. Tim then worked for Giuliano and Father Construction for 25 years until he retired.
Tim was blessed with seven grandchildren…..Timothy, Eric, Susan, Cassandra, Brenna, Andrea and River. Tim thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren going to the beach, hiking, going to Disneyland, swimming in the pool, going to movies, eating the dozens of cookies his granddaughters baked for him, attending their sporting events and graduations. He loved his grandchildren and embraced the time he spent with them.
Tim was embraced by the Giuliano family and attended many boisterous family get togethers. Tim loved hockey and was ecstatic when he was able to attend the All-star game at Pepsi Center and to see Ray Bourque finally hoist the Stanley Cup with the Avalance in 2001.
Tim spent much time hunting and fishing with his sons and his grandsons. He fished the Canadian boundary waters and the
Sea of Cortez with Todd, Troy and Jack. He and his grandsons took a deep sea fishing trip in San Diego and they all became sea sick and no fish lost their lives that day.
He taught his sons to be hard workers, responsible and independent. He guided them by example and was always supportive in their endeavors and was equally supportive of them during hard life lessons.
Tim was a resilient, hardworking, loving, quiet man who lived a simple life. He loved his wife, his sons, his daughter-in-law, and his grandchildren. He embraced his place in Liz’s family as a devoted son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. Tim will leave a large hole in the hearts of all that loved him. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Thank you Tim for being a part of our lives.
