Lakeport, CA
Brenda Christian passed away in her sleep on February 5, 2018. Brenda was a southern charm. She was the only daughter of Major Thomas H. Masterson of New Jersey and Lavinia Millsaps Roell of Jackson, Mississippi.
Brenda graduated from Murrah High School in 1964, where she was voted Most Beautiful. She attended Mississippi State College for Women where she earned a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology. She worked with children as a speech therapist in her early career and in her later career, she worked in human resources. Always willing to help anyone in need with kindness and compassion, Brenda spent many years helping women through their struggles, sharing her own experiences, and found significant joy in reaching out her hand. Because of her gentle and loving disposition and a genuine heart, she was always an approachable woman and offered her help whenever she could. Her hobbies included knitting and sewing and she had a true love for playing bridge! Brenda also had a love for cats. She bred Persian cats for many years and loved showing them in cat shows.
Brenda’s loving husband, Bob Christian, preceded her in death. Mrs. Christian is survived by her four children: Amy Blackburn Towner, Trent Everett (Kelly), Thomas Everett, and Logan Everett (Christy) and her seven grandchildren: Teague, Tavish, and Morgan Towner, Lucas, JT, Joshua, and Brendon Everett. Brenda loved the Lord and will be missed by her children, grandchildren, Bob’s family, her siblings Jack, Mike, and Charlie Roell, Honey Stevens, and Charlotte Noble and all their family members.
Graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton, MS at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
