I am so shocked and sad at Ed's death. Such a nice guy, whose immense love and devotion for his daughter will hopefully bring her comfort.  Deep condolences to Jocelyn, his family, and friends. He will be missed by so many. I always enjoyed his band, his easy-going manner, and his obvious love for music and people.

I was shocked to hear about Ed's death, my deepest condolences go out to his daughter and the rest of his family and friends.  Ed was my husbands chiropractor and they grew to become good friends.  We used to go see Ed play with his band down at the Farmer's Market on Friday evenings during the summer.  We are both very sorry for the families loss and hope that the happy memories of Ed's life will soon help you through your grief.

Ed and I first met around 10 years ago, when he arrived with his acoustic guitar at an informal folk music gathering - and he left his guitar in it's case for the first two meetings!  As time went by we moved on to play at Open Mics at The Harbor and The Blues Cafe; then as a jam band with friends at the Lakeside English Pub.  That evolved into a band called "Blind Spot," where we played at numerous locations in Lake & Mendocino Counties until Ed left us on Feb. 12.  I watched him grow tremendously as a musician, and he became an integral part of the band.  Over the years I got to know Ed not only as a musician but as a real and honest human being, a person who will be missed a lot as a friend and a band member.  I feel fortunate to have had the chance to know him.  I wish his family well, Sincerely,  Doug Kauffman
