Ann Boyd Monk

Our precious Mom, Ann Boyd Monk was born in Waco, Texas on October 13, 1926 to Cecille and Bill Boyd. She married the love of her life, Norman, on June 13th, 1947 in Galveston, Texas. On March 14th she finally reached out and grabbed Dad's and our Sis Julie's hands and moved on to Paradise. What a joyous reception she must have received. She is survived by children Chip- wife Jennifer and kids Alex, Noelle, Isabella, Juliette and Riley: Melissa- husband Mike and kids Tasha and Brandon, Nick, David, Mikey, Alyssa, McKenna, Josh and Aubree: Julie's kids Maggie and Ty, Dan and Misty, Andrew, Alison, Celia, Tristin, and Lucas: Boyd- wife DK, kids Jessica and Jason, Jade and Jillian.

Mom was a generous and compassionate woman who selflessly shared her faith, kindness, wisdom and love of life. She was a first grade Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church for as long as we can remember, and she taught all of her kids to treat others as we want to be treated.

A reception for Mom will be on Friday March 21st from 6-8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home with services being held at Ford Memorial Chapel at First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 22nd.

As Mom loved giving her time to those less fortunate and in need, we ask that you donate to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers. God’s speed to Mom, Grandmother, Aunt Ann and our Dad's "Bride."
