Words cannot express just how much Barbara meant to us. There are certain people that come into your life that are special and make your world a better place. Barbara was one of those people. She never failed to make us feel special and loved. We were fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with her and Fred when we all took dance lessons and learned to waltz to Conway Twitty's "Hello Darlin". Barbara's wonderful sense of humor, her laugh and beautiful smile would light up a room and those memories will stay with us forever. She will never be forgotten and we were blessed to have her in our lives.

Rest In Peace Dear Friend!

I am saddened to hear the news of Barbara's passing. She was always a spark of joy. We shared time at Tubbs Elementary. Later on, I would enjoy running in to her while walking in the park. We lost touch but I have fond memories of her. She will be greatly missed.

Loved when Fred and Barbara would visit my parents (Lonnie & Fran Marx) in Colo. Springs over the years. She would joke with my dad and make him smile. She was such a special and sweet lady. She will be missed. Love from Colorado Cousins. We were all blessed to have known her.

Barbara and I met at Tubbs Elementary in the late 70’s where we were both teachers. We took classes together at Texas Tech while working on our Master’s Degrees. She was a wonderful friend, funny, compassionate and loyal. About a year and a half ago, we started meeting for lunch once a month with good friend and fellow teacher, Jerri Poteet. Later, Alice Frend joined us. We shared stories laughter, and good memories. I will miss her a lot. Rest well my friend! I love you!

Barbara was a close friend for several years. Part of a group of four single women who met through square dancing and discovered bridge as a great way to interact with each other and to share life for several years. We shared and cared for each other as we moved through similar life situations. Those years will be remembered fondly by all of us. Then we drifted on separate currents as life moved along. . . but never forgot those special times. Those memories will live on even as our lives moved along. My world is better for having known her.
