She was born in Amarillo, Texas, on December 24, 1939, to Theo and Norma Gibson.
After graduating from Amarillo High School she met and married her husband, Lannie Lackey, and went on to have 3 children, Loy, Lan, and Lana. While she worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Lubbock State School for 20 years, she also raised her children. She was a devoted church member and was known for her big heart and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her son's Lan and Loy, as well as her husband Lannie.
She is survived by her daughter Lana and Mitchell Valentine and grandchildren Gibson, Erik, Zephaniah, and Kenzie, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 2 pm in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel.
