Barry Edwards was born August 26,1945 in Amarillo, Texas. He grew up in Tulia with his parents and siblings. He worked the theaters in Tulia with his dad. He moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University. While he attended Tech he worked at the theaters in Lubbock. He met Carol Oldham while studying in a diner close to Tech and they married August 10,1972. They had a daughter that was born October 10, 1974. He started working in IT and worked for several IT companies. One IT company was located in Colorado Springs and they lived there for 11 years. He retired in 2017 to take care of Carol. They were married for 46 years. He attended Wayne Avenue Baptist Church for many years.
Barry died peacefully surrounded by family. He is survived by his daugher, Tonya, Miles Mosley, grandson, Butch, brother and his wife, Gloria, Leah, sister, and Poncho, brother-in-law. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
