Beryl Jean O'Briant

Celebration of Life services for Beryl Jean O’Briant of Lubbock will be held at 11 am, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Melonie Park Church with Pastor Todd Cepica officiating. Jean passed away Saturday, January 5th, 2019 in Lubbock at the age of 90.

She was born in Abernathy, Texas to the late Floyd and Neva Shipman. Jean graduated from Abernathy High School. She was a faithful member of Melonie Park Church for many years. Jean loved spending time with her family. She was a master seamstress, china painter, avid reader, and news junkie.

She was a breast cancer co-survivor with her daughter Joan.

Those left to cherish her memory are son, David O’Briant and wife Sandy; daughter, Joan O’Briant; grandchildren, Shanda Young and husband Jeff, and Brandon O’Briant; great grandchildren, Carson Young and Christopher O’Briant; sister, Donna Blalock, brother, Marion Shipman and several loved nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Dan O’Briant and several brothers and sisters.
