Betty Jo Lange

Betty was born in Fredericksburg, Texas, on January 13th, 1948. Betty graduated from Boerne High School in May of 1966. After high school, she attended Southwest Texas College, in Uvalde, TX. She met Michael Joe Lange in San Antonio, TX. They were married in Boerne, TX on December 14th, 1968. After marrying they moved to the Arlington area. In 1972, they were blessed with their only child, Haley Jo.

They moved to Georgetown, TX in 1988. When Haley went to college, Betty decided to go back to school. She graduated from Southwest Texas University, San Marcos,TX in May of 1995 with her Bachelor of Arts in History. She went on to teach Special Education in the Dallas area. She made many lifelong friends and made a major impact on those around her.

Betty loved traveling to Port Aransas to spend time on the beach with her grandkids. She enjoyed getting together with her friends and family to play board games. Her intention was to always include others and often showed that through thoughtful gifts. She is proud to show her love for animals, especially her cats.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Haley Carpenter and Marguerite Elsie Sill Carpenter, as well as her son in law, Travis Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Michael Joe Lange, and her daughter Haley Jo Anderson. Two grandchildren; Kylie Corinne Anderson and Makayla Breanne Anderson, and two siblings; Judy (Robert) Davis, and Alan (Edna) Carpenter.

A visitation for Betty will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, March 2nd, from 5 PM - 7 PM. A funeral service will be held the following morning, Monday, March 3rd, at 10 AM in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with a committal service to follow at the Anton Cemetery.
