

Brian Hambright (83) of Lubbock, Texas, passed away from cancer on January 24th at 6:14 p.m. He was surrounded by his wife and stepdaughter. His last few moments were spent worshiping his heavenly father and preparing to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
Brian was born April 7, 1940 in Lubbock Texas to Ed and Mary Hambright. Brian attended Texas Tech University. He met and married the love of his life, Bronell Burnett on October 19, 1985. He spent many years in the insurance industry, winning several awards and trips with his wife. Brian served as President of Skyfox-Texas Green Group, a fuel catalyst for jet fuel, diesel and gasoline refined fuel.
Known for his love of God, his wife, and goofy jokes. Brian had a unique talent for meticulously crafted handwritten notes and whimsical cartoons, often featuring ducks, to honor and bring joy to his extended family and friends. Brian will be remembered for his kind heart and passion for people. He was loved by many and several adopted him as their dad.
Brian and Bronell opened their home for worship and Bible study, hosting gatherings for spiritual growth. They taught a class in years past titled "A More Excellent Way" at Trinity Church. Brian was also an active participant in a weekly men's Bible study.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ed and Mary Hambright.
He leaves behind to treasure his memories his wife Bronell Hambright, sister Cordelia Johnson, daughter Tanya Swegler and husband Phil, son Russ Hambright and wife Becky, his stepson, Alex Burnett and wife Mary, stepdaughter Teresa Hill and husband John. Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Flores, Megan Hines and husband Jaylan, Logan Burnett & Sarah Hill. Great-grandchildren Kalib Crittendon, Breyton Crittendon & Fisher Flores.
