Brian Roger Lee, Sr. passed peacefully in his sleep at the UMC Hospital on Wednesday October 31st after a brief illness. Brian was born October 11th 1947 in Keene, New Hampshire to Arthur W.H. Lee and Lucille Loretta Helie Lee who preceded him in death as well as his sister, Hettie Marie Lee.
He is survived by his wife NilAida Calzado Lee and his children; Brian R. Lee Jr., Kimberly Ann Swindoll and Kim’s husband Christopher B. Swindoll, an older sister Loretta Ann Lee Dyer of Berwick, Maine; an older brother George A. Lee and his wife Sharon of Roswell, New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He joined the United States Air Force in 1968, after tech school at Sheppard AFB he was stationed to Laredo, Texas and then to Reese AFB in Lubbock which then lead his journey to Clark AFB in the Philippines where he met and fell in love with his bride. After a year of marriage he was over joyed to have his son, Brian Jr. His travels continued to lead him to Del Rio, Texas where his daughter was born and joined their little family. A year later the family traveled to Tampa, Florida; while basking in the Florida sun, the family lived there until he retired from the military. After retirement they moved to Lubbock, Texas where he worked for Lockheed Martin at Reese AFB.
After the closing of Reese, being the hard worker as he always was, he went to work for the U.S. Postal Service; but after a brief period there, he suffered a heart attack and subsequently retired. While living under retirement, he was able to enjoy time with his beautiful wife, visit his son during his multiple endeavors, and watch his daughter get married. He was also a huge influence on his son-in-law, who followed his military footsteps in the Air Force. Brian was a great man, who would help anyone that needed help. He will be missed dearly.
