Buddy Wesley Davis, 70, of Lubbock, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.Services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009, at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Dr. Ken Horn officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Buddy was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on February 7, 1939. He moved to Lubbock when he was 16 years old and has lived here ever since. Buddy was retired from Heath Trucking Company.He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Cora Davis; and his wife Carol Ann Davis.Buddy is survived by his first wife and last love, Barbara Ann Davis; sons: Keith Davis and wife Rachel, and Buddy Preston Davis and wife Kristin; daughters: Carol Ortega, Dana Edwards, and Billie Davis Nixon; brother, David Davis; sisters: Polly Petersen and Annette Antis; grandchildren: Cody Baker and wife Katy, Ashlea Freeman and husband Tim, Corey Morris and wife Maureen, Caz Edwards, Casey Edwards, Mason Davis, Caleb Davis, Chloe Nixon, Nathan Wimberley and wife Brittney, and Hailey Herrington; and great grandchildren: Aubrie Baker, Alyssa Baker, and Allison Wimberley.
