

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the same location, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born July 12, 1973, in Lubbock, Chad was the beloved son of Robert (Bob) and Kathie McWhorter Ralston. After graduating from Coronado High School in 1991, he attended Texas Tech University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
On December 23, 2002, Chad welcomed into the world his son, Parker Allen Ralston, who was his greatest blesssing. Later in life, he found love with his fiancee, Aimee Runnels, and cherished being a bonus dad to Avery Dickson and Kenzlee Runnels as well as Pappee to Eliana Word.
Chad loved to cook. His legendary brisket and made from scratch Alfredo sauce were two of his favorite things to make. He had a lifelong passion for sports, cheering on his Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys, and he found joy in sharing laughter and good food with family and friends.
Chad built a respected career in the insurance industry, most recently with Alacrity Solutions, where he was admired for his calm leadership and dedication. He had a gift for making everyone feel valued and for turning colleagues into friends.
He is survived by his son, Parker Ralston (Emma Ver Hage); his parents, Bob and Kathie Ralston; his brother, Brad (Leigh) Ralston; his niece and nephew, Garrett and Vivian Ralston; and his fiancée, Aimee Runnels. He is also survived by his bonus daughters, Avery Dickson and Kenzlee Runnels, and his granddaughter, Eliana.
Additionally, he leaves behind his aunts, Linda Paxton (Boyce), Phyllis Kinnison (Jay), and Edie Hewett (Clark), as well as his cousins, Trey Stapleton (Jessica), Randy Kinnison (Jane), and Kathy Rollo (Robert), along with numerous other cousins and extended family members.
Chad’s warmth, humor, and love for life will be remembered by everyone who knew him. He never met a stranger and always found joy in bringing people together.
