

A rosary for Daniel Domansky, 72 of Lubbock, will be recited on Monday, July 5th at 7 p.m. in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 6th, at 1 p.m. at Christ the King Cathedral Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens. On Friday, July 2, Daniel joined his son, John in celebrating his homecoming.
Daniel was born September 24, 1937 in Seine, France to the late Basile and Olga (Pastuchov) Domansky. He moved to the United States at the age of 19 and enlisted in United States Air Force where he completed an eight year term.
He married the love of his life, Joyce Goeke in April 1968 in Waco, Texas and together they raised two sons.
Daniel was an avid military historian, modeler and auto racing fan. He also loved to travel in his motor home and care for his cats. He was a member of Christ the King Cathedral Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the American Legion and the Hub City Travel Club. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Joyce, son; Mark Domansky and wife, Julie, cousin; Allin Budek and his beloved cats all of Lubbock. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the John Domansky Scholarship fund C/O The Knights of Columbus or to Texas Tech University Civil Engineering Scholarship Fund, Mail Stop 1023, Lubbock, Texas 79409.
