Demetra (Dee) Norris, 78, passed away Saturday April 6, 2019, surrounded by family in her home in Lubbock. Demetra, an only child, was born November 18, 1940 to Helen Elizabeth Styles in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She served as a devoted wife, worker and mother to three children, Russ Myers, Nicole Martinez and Devone Martinez. Granny Dee, took an extremely special devotion to her grandchildren: Ashley Myers, Dalton Martinez, Aubree Martinez, Reagan Martinez, Alida and Madeline Martinez.
She was preceded in death by Joseph Norris, her husband of 37 years.
Dee was well known for her profanity, sense of decency, honesty and unfiltered opinion. Her primary objective in her life was to raise her children to be good human beings. Dee was unable to spoil her children with lavish gifts but gave them a sense of good work ethic, morality and love. She will dearly missed by all who knew her.
Debbie Skeens, a close family friend and minister will be residing over her services.
