Dwain was Born Aug 22, 1936 at home in Lubbock, TX. Lubbock lost a mighty hero on September 15, 2023. At 87 years old, Dwain went into Jesus’ arms, as a result of a fall down the stairs. Dwain was not a war hero but a hero of kindness, love, and success and above all else a servant of Jesus Christ. Dwain was a loving father of 6 kids, who all became successful serving the Lord, in family, and helping others and in business. Dwain’s family always came first, his smile was infectious and his love of our Lord, Jesus Christ, was unwavering. Dwain was a giant among men and a teacher of all things.
Dwain was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Kay Beavers Lane, son, Dart Keith Lane, grandson, Jacob Bryce Lane, sister, Chrie Lane Patterson and brother, Don Lane.
Dwain is survived by his wife Davie Crockett Lane, brother Jimmy Lane, his 5 kids, Ty Lane, Britt Lane, Troy Lane, Treva Hamm and Penny Roberts. Dwain had 13 grandkids, 22 great grand kids, 5 step kids and numerous step grands and great grandkids, totaling over 100 descendants.
Our loss is immeasurable. His Gain is unfathomable. Definitely an end to an era. He will be missed by us all.
A visitation for Dwain will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock on Sunday September 17th, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Southcrest Baptist Church in Lubbock on Monday September 18th, 2023 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
