Earl Lionel Franklin Jr.

He was born in December of 1930 to the late Earl Sr and Gladys Franklin, in Smyer, Texas. He attended school in Smyer and graduated from Smyer High School, class of 1947. Earl was married to Joyce Matlock and she preceded him in death in 2014.

He founded Custom Brake and Electric, which he owned for 47 years. Earl was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Franklin and one sister, Joan Franklin-Dominic.

He is survived by two daughters; Frankie Armstrong and Diane Dikeman, one son, Paul Franklin, 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, a sister; Christeen Simpson and many other relatives and friends.
