Emma F. Beights

Emma Beights, 87, passed away April 1, 2012, after a long illness. Services will be held Saturday, April 7th, Resthaven’s Mausoleum Chaple, Pastor Andy Hurst from St Luke’s United Methodist Church, officiating. Viewing from Noon-2PM,Funeral Service 2PM, burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Emma was born April 19, 1924, Fort Stockton, TX, to Joe and Ima Hallford. She married James Beights (Loraine, TX) after meeting at Sul Ross College (Alpine, TX), moved to Lubbock about 1952. Emma taught 4th through 6th grades for 25 years at Stewart Elementary School in Lubbock, retiring in 1986.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents; husband James; son Wayland; brothers John Hallford and Barrett Hallford. She is survived by sister Ima Joe McCall (Conroe, TX); brother Joe C Hallford, Jr (Fort Stockton, TX); son Wayne (Tacoma, WA) and sons Bob & Michael (both of Lubbock); 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
