Frances graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in 1943. She was a dedicated member of various clubs, including the Lubbock Woman's Club as a Board of Directors, Lubbock Racquet Club, Lakeridge Ladies Golf Club, and the Monterey Duplicate Bridge Club. She was a member of Lakeridge United Methodist Church.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Betsy Ann Austin (James Mitchell), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don B. Austin, to whom she was married for 61 years.
Frances will be remembered for her passion for community involvement and her love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
