Gilbert was owner/operator of Jiffy Lube in Lubbock and Plainview for many years; He has been an employee of Walmart as a service manager of Tire and Lube for the past 10 years. Gilbert was a loving man with a huge heart, he exuded integrity and compassion. He fiercely loved his family, friends and
co-workers. Gilbert enjoyed John Wayne, bingo, fishing, football and his Texas Rangers.
Gilbert is survived by his wife and lifelong friend, Laura Gonzales; daughters, Melinda Gonzales, Ashley Nix; sons, Gilbert Gonzales, Seth Barnes and Cade Barnes; sister, Belia Johnson; brother, Ernest Gonzales; honorary brother, Mark Lee; nephew, Bobby Ponce and one precious granddaughter, Gracelyn Dawn Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his parents and son John Matthew Gonzales.
