Harry graduated from Estacado high school class of 1971 while working at Cloth World, where he later became a manager. He went on to own and run several other businesses, including 2 Baskin Robbins that later would become Kaleidoscoops. Harry owned a defensive driving school where he helped many people get out of tickets. If he wasn't busy enough he started a food truck, first with ice cream then moving into fair foods. With that he traveled all over Texas.
In 1971 Harry married his high school sweetheart Linda Gray. They went on to raise two rambunctious boys Mark and Blake. Harry and the boys were heavily involved in scouting and all the adventures it took them on. One of his favorite activities was coffee with friends.
Sadly, Harry was preceded in death by his parents Griggs and Janet Hulsey and his brother Larry Hulsey. His memory is forever held in the hearts of his wife Linda, his kids, Mark and Katy, Blake and Leslie and four grandchildren Dylan, Chloe, Jaidon and Lizbeth.
A service to celebrate Harry will be held Wednesday, March 20th at First Church of the Nazarene at 6110 Chicago Ave. at 10:00 am. Following the service, Harry will be laid to rest at Resthaven memorial. A viewing for Harry will be held Tuesday night from 5:00-7:00 pm
The family has designated Jeremy Edler, Jaidon Hulsey, Lizbeth Hulsey, Jetton Meador, Bryan Elder, and Kelly Beeler as pallbearers to accompany Harry on his final adventure.
Speaking at the funeral will be Pastor Michael Page, longtime family friend and pastor.
Harry Lewis Hulsey will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and funnel cake king. His legacy will live on in the ice cream cakes, the dismissed traffic tickets and funnel cakes he has made throughout the years.
