Helen Margarette Cook

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul Orlan Cook, son Robert Norman Cook, grandson, Jason Charles Cook, and brother Lloyd Sadler. Margarette is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Cindy Cook of San Benito, TX; her fiancé, Earl Dunn of Lubbock; brothers, Doyle Sadler of Colorado and Talma Sadler of Oklahoma. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Margarette met Orlan at a roller-skating rink; they married on October 21, 1949 and lived in Morton from 1949-1961 then moved to Wolfforth. Margarette worked in Wolfforth helping provide for Orlan and her family. She retired after 27 years from the American Bank of Commerce in Wolfforth.

The family wishes to thank Earl Dunn and his family for caring and loving Margarette. We also want to thank Barbara Sehon for her excellent care of our Mother/Grandmother in her last days. A celebration of Margarette’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Westwood Church with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
