Jack Landis Shanklin went home to Jesus on December 27, 2024. Jack was born on January 24, 1930, in Frankfort Indiana to the late Opal and Charles Shanklin. Jack married Phyllis VanTyle on November 7, 1951.
Jack worked at PPG for 35 years and stayed in the glass business for many years after. Jack and Phyllis both loved playing golf and tennis. Jack loved Texas Tech sports and was one of their biggest fans. Jack was an ice cream connoisseur. He attended Westminster Presbyterian Church for almost 70 years. He was kind hearted and loved the Lord with all his heart. He leaves behind a great legacy of believers.
He is preceded in death by his mother Opal Mae Schulien, his father Charles Shanklin, and his brother Charles Shanklin Jr. Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Kathy Joslin and her husband David and Karen Rehm and her husband David. He was blessed to have 6 grandchildren, Ashley White, Amy Ketron, Adam Joslin, Kristin Joslin, Tanner Rehm and Taylor Rehm. He also had 5 great grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by many.
