Janice was born February 2, 1931 in a small community of Jud near Rochester, Texas to Harvey Jackson and Lena Kay Castleberry. In 1939 the family moved to O'Donnell, Texas where Jan graduated in the class of 1951. On January 6, 1951 Jan married the love of her life, Billy James Morris in Hobbs, New Mexico. Their first son, James Keith was born March 21, 1952 and they welcomed their second son Kavin, born January 19, 1955. The family were members of the Church of Christ and they all enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, motorcycles and anything outdoors.
Jan and Bill started their business, Morris Machine Works, in 1966, side by side with Jan as office manager after taking business courses at S.P.C. Jan taught Bible classes at Cactus Drive Church for several years and served as reserve deputy court bailiff for 11 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and son, Keith.
Jan is survived by husband Bill, son, Kavin; three granddaughters and nine great-grandchildren.
