Janice Dee Tortoriello

Jan Tortoriello, 69, of Amarillo, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 in Lubbock, TX. She was born in McAllen, Texas on November 5, 1945. Jan married Eddie Tortoriello in 1994. Jan loved learning and her time spent in the library systems in New Jersey and Texas. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed and served in all capacities in her church. She had a passion for life and was tickled by everything her grandchildren did. Her children and everyone who met her appreciated her joy, love and sparkliness. She managed to enhance the lives of everyone who knew her. Jan is survived by her husband Eddie, her mother Ruth Beal, her twin children Katie (husband Chris) Metzger and Luke (wife Monique) McClatchey; grandchildren, Lukas Metzger, Madison and Gage McClatchey; and sisters, Pat Coleman and Kae Liles. A private memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Community Christian Church in Lubbock, TX. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff and caregivers of Promiseland III and Hospice of Lubbock for their caring and kindness that saw Jan and her family through her final illness.
