

Jerry Dale “Dale” Bailey, 69, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on February 22, 2026. Born on September 7, 1956, in Roswell, New Mexico, Dale lived a life marked by faith, family devotion, entrepreneurial spirit, and a generous heart. Dale graduated from Lubbock High School in 1974. He was a proud Westerner. He attended Texas Tech University.
Dale was a pioneer in business, owning the first Pinocchio’s Pizza franchise, where he built not only a successful venture but lasting friendships within his community. He was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and willingness to help others succeed.
Above all, Dale was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Shaw Bailey; his children Nicholas Bailey; Kyle Bailey and his wife Meagan; and Courtney Holloway and her husband Cody.
He was a proud and loving grandfather to Maddisin Bailey, Leighton Bailey, Jaxon Bailey, Faith Bailey, Trip Bailey, Reese Bailey, Haley Holloway, and Samantha Holloway. His grandchildren were one of the greatest joys of his life. He also has many nephews, nieces, and many other extended relatives and friends that are loved. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Bailey, his mother, Eunice Hunt Bailey, his sisters, Frances Puryear and Barbara Yackell and his brother Joe Lynn Bailey.
Dale had a passion for adventure and life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed Enduro motorcycle riding, NASCAR, drag car racing in his younger days, traveling, playing bingo, and visiting casinos. He loved gathering with friends and family, always bringing laughter and energy wherever he went. He was an avid fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys.
A man of deep faith, Dale faithfully served at Live Oak Community Church, volunteering to feed the homeless, participating in Small Groups, leading and co-leading Small Groups, a Men’s Group, and serving on the Greeting Team. His life reflected his favorite scripture, John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Dale will be remembered for his generous spirit, leadership, unwavering faith, and the deep love he had for his family and community. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, Live Oak Community Church or Unpack Ministry in Memory of Dale Bailey.
