Claudia “Jill” Walker Dea, 72, passed away on February 1, 2026. She was born on September 23, 1953 in Charleston West Virginia to Charles and Claudia Isbell Walker. She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother David Walker.
Jill was a proud graduate of Coronado High School and spent her life caring deeply for the people and passions she loved. She was the main caregiver during her mom’s last few years of life. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren, whom she adored and supported with a full heart. She was known for her creativity that she got from her father and could often be found working on arts and crafts, a reflection of her patient and artistic nature.
Jill enjoyed fishing and hunting and devoted many years to ensuring others could experience those same opportunities. As a Hunt Master for the State of Texas, she took children hunting who otherwise would not have had the chance, and she proudly taught Hunter Education, leaving a lasting impact on countless young lives. Her nurturing spirit extended to her love of plants—she had a gift for helping them thrive, just as she did with the people around her.
Professionally, Jill worked as a nail technician, a role that allowed her to combine creativity with connection. She also took simple pleasures seriously, especially her beloved Sonic Coke, which was rarely far from her side.
Jill is survived by her children: Chad (Cassandra) Foy, Paige (Chris) Cox, and Ashley Breshers; and her grandchildren: Maverick (Sierra Malaeb) Foy, Patrick (Hally Eller) Foy, Scarlett Kirk, Kate Cox, Lauren Cox, Titus Breshers, Luke Breshers, Eli Breshers, and Zoey Breshers.
Jill will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family, her dedication to helping others, and the quiet joy she found in both nature and creativity. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, service, and love that will be deeply missed.
