Joe Collins

Joe Dale Collins, 82, of Wister, Oklahoma passed away in his home on February 11, 2018. He was born on May 1, 1935 in Whitharral, Texas to Joe David and Gladys Lucille (Watson) Collins. He was a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant having served multiple tours in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice, and his grandson, Nathan Little. Joe was of the Baptist faith.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven. Interment with full military honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Local arrangements are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.

The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service in the Abbey Chapel.

He is survived by his wife Rosilee Collins of the home; one daughter, Beckie Little and her husband Gary of Springdale, AR; one son, David Collins and his wife Karen of Van Buren, AR; one brother, Bobby Collins of Lubbock, TX; three sisters, Lucy Todd of College Station, TX, Sue Fincher of Plano, TX and Nell Balch of Lubbock, TX; five grandchildren, Julie McDonald, Jamie Minton, Christopher Collins, Jodie DeRose and Katie Little; nine great grandchildren and two step sons, Jeffrey McNair of Huntsville, AR and Jordan McNair of Shell Knob, MO.

Services are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home, Fort Smith, AR. and Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lubbock, TX.
